Engineering Manager
about-project :
- We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team working on cutting-edge technology.
- You will be developing a UK-leading mobile-first integrated platform designed to streamline HR and Payroll processes. This platform offers a user-friendly interface, real-time functionality, and comprehensive integration.
- As the Engineering Manager, you will serve as a vital link between our Poland and UK-based teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, effective communication. Whilst this is a hands-off role you will be using your experience as a technical contributor to help your team make decisions and attain the best outcomes.
responsibilities :
- Close cooperation with Polish-based teams: lead and manage a team of software engineers and testers, providing guidance, mentoring and coaching.
- Ensure best practices in Software Development are maintained.
- Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability of code and software architecture.
- Monitor team performance and set performance goals, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing feedback.
- Working with Scrum Masters to identify and address any issues or challenges faced by the team and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Drive a generative culture of high cooperation where learning is the heart of everything we do
- Work closely with the Product Design Team to manage the resources required, to achieve the product roadmaps considering recruitment, training and the acquisition of tools and frameworks in a timely fashion to avoid delays in delivery.
- To be an advocate of the Agile development practices employed by the development function.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and seek opportunities to apply them to the team’s work.
- Promote and develop a culture of continual improvement where Engineering teams are continually striving to be the best.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing regular updates on product progress and issues to manage expectations.
requirements-expected :
- The role requires travelling to the UK once per month for a whole week to collaborate with the UK-based team and stakeholders.
- Technical background, preferably as a. NET Developer
- Previous experience in a similar position, such as a line or project manager
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent proficiency in English
- Able to demonstrate leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of software professionals.
- Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of software development concepts and technologies.
- Good understanding of what software architecture looks like.
- Proficient in Agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of Continuous Delivery best practices.
- Awareness of security requirements for handling sensitive information.
- A team-oriented individual with a passion for engineered excellence.
- A passion for innovation, people management, and improvement.
- You appreciate the importance of keeping a positive team and culture.
- Confident in introducing new ideas and motivating a diverse team.
