Supplier Development Engineer - Electrical
An exciting opportunity has arisen as Supply Development Engineer for electrical and Permanent Magnet suppliers in Propulsion and Engines.
In this role, you will be a part of the Supply Chain team within Propulsion and Engines Division working closely with the supplier development teams in Waterjets, Thrusters and Propeller & Shaftline Systems business units.
Reporting to our Supplier Development Manager you will have to assess our external supply chain capabilities to optimize the manufacturing and assure Quality of our Electrical and Permanent Magnets components.
Key accountabilities
- Deliver Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Supplier Development activities in the external electrical supply chain in support of the business.
- Use the methods described in the Quality Management System to manage and execute tasks.
- Ensure supplier manufacturing processes are capable of meeting quality, cost, delivery and leadtime requirements for the business.
- Ensure Quality of supplied product is in line with our KM requirements.
- Professionally accountable to the relevant Supplier Development Manager or equivalent.
- Maintain overview of the supplier Quality
- Supplier HSE overview to comply with our KM requirements
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in automation and/or electrical engineering
- Previously worked as a manufacturing Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer and/or Supplier Development Engineer in an industrial sector or equivalent
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and interpretation of Engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Planning and prioritising activities and an ability to operate with a level of autonomy.
- Well versed in quality tools and methods
- Experience working with electrical motor and generators is desirable
- Excellent written and spoken English
