For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of:

Senior PostrgreSQL Developer

Location: remote / Warsaw

Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)

Length: long-term cooperation, first contract for 12 months

Rate: 155-170 PLN/h net on B2B

Start date: ASAP

Remote work: currently – 100% remote

Methodology: Scrum

Tech stack:

PostgreSQL, Apache, Cassandra, Terraform, Azure, SQL, JSON

What will you do:

• Design, Develop and support the database components of our Cloud-Native applications and in an Azure cloud environment with a focus on multi-tenancy and micro-services

• Work collaboratively as a technical leader on a high performing, geographically dispersed R&D team which focuses on building highly performant, reliable and secure systems, with a focus on driving value for our product line and customers

• Contribute to application development on a ground-up large-scale, mission-critical system and be capable of leading and making key decisions for the team

What we expect from you:

• 3+ years working as a database developer working with PostgreSQL

• Experience with Terraform, Postgres Flexible Server deployments in Azure

• Experience with database administration and tuning tasks

• Expert Level SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views

• Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON

• PostGIS proficiency and grasp of core geospatial concepts

• Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy, or security

• Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics and isolation levels

• Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and/or workarounds

What would be a plus:

• Experience with PostgreSQL clustering tools such as Patroni

• Experience with PostgreSQL tuning tools such as pgBadger, pgTune

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e. g. Apache, Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL

• Experience with Python, ETL, data transformation
