Senior QA Manager (Wealth & Personal Banking IT)
Expected, AgileAbout the project, Responsible for leading and/or managing one or more teams regionally/globally to ensure new applications and changes or enhancements to a range of Digital systems or applications, to ensure that those changes are fit for purpose, as required by the Business. Responsibility will typically multiple testing phases and projects and includes both Technology and Business onwership within the programme of work for testing activities. , , They will be responsible for establishing and working with multiple teams and contribute to setting the strategy and the direction for the deivery of major global digtal programme initiatives woriking under the direction of the Global Head of Quality, and will lead a team of individuals who are embedded into agile teams delivering new journeys as outcomes to our customers. Your responsibilities, Impact on the Business/Function:, Develop and retain a high level of understanding of business and IT systems requirements at Group as well as local level, to enable appropriate support and guidance to be given to Teams. , Understands test strategies and approaches within the context of Agile delivery at scale globally. , Champions and directs change to deliver faster and better. , Evangilising the test model and strategy to ensure consistency in approach and stron stakeholder buy in. , Provide supervisory direction and guidenace on all quality and testing activities at local/location level. , Lead/Manage Business/user groups in definition of testing scope, providing assistance and direction to ensure successful implementation. , Lead/Manage and provide direction in programme discussions related to quality and test elements (eg cost, time, approaches etc). , Undertake comprehensive reviews on levels of quality practices, assessing performance/efficiency, making recommendations and managing their implementation. , Demonstrate and apply excellent business domain knowledge. , Customers / Stakeholders:, Ensure that testing adheres to Group and local standards. , Lead/Manage the qualty levels in line with Business Acceptance for all Business outcomes. , Responsible for ensuring budget and costs related to headcount, external vendor contracts and other financial budgets are all within agreed parameters. , Lead/Manage the production of high quality management information and reporting to appropriate stakeholders including metrics at a Group and/or local level. Manage and control issues and escalation to ensure satisfactory resolution. , Lead/Manage and direct across quality related areas across all agile teams and pods within the location. , Initiate and/or support continuous process improvement to achieve productivity and efficiency gains. Provide cost benefits as required. , Build trusting relationships with stakeholders by consistently meeting and delivering upon their business needs demonstrating and being respected for your domain knowledge. , Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets. , Leadership & Teamwork:, Develop and maintain high quality communication and relationships, both internal and external to the Bank, with all parties. Manage the coordination of communication with virtual teams worldwide. , Manage all onshore and offshore global testing resources in all testing activities to achieve project goals. , Establish, manage and develop offshore engagements and their capability to support operational needs in line with wider location strategy across WPB. , Provide guidance and mentoring to individuals and teams. , Control concurrent testing projects and resources for multiple projects that vary in scale and complexity, ensuring schedule/budget/quality requirements are met. , Participate in the development and trasnformation of WPB to improve the ways of working, quality levels and seek efficiency gains. , Operational Effectiveness & Control:, Undertake line and task management of multiple resources (onshore); this covers responsibility, and support, for the training, development and performance review of staff to develop their careers. , Maintain an awareness of technology and testing trends and industry best practice, and provide advice to Business/IT. , Undertake additional tasks as directed by Task Manager or Line Management. The role holder should have 5+ years experience of working within a Quality Assurance and testing environment ideally within a financial or digital organization. Experience of doing this within and across Agile teams or an Agile environment would also be beneficial. They should have strong experience of stakeholder management across various levels.
