The Senior Business Analyst plays a lead role in designing, developing, and ensuring the system performance is scalable and available. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements for the implementation of functional solutions, taking into consideration the future goals of the business and the overall IT solution architecture. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible to lead small to medium-sized projects.

The Senior Business Analyst works closely with users and management in the commercial region and commercial excellence function to understand, improve, and implement business requirements. The Senior Business Analyst has an understanding of the overall direction and requirements of Zimmer Biomet’s business across commercial sales, commercial excellence and transformation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Works closely with the Commercial Excellence, pricing and CRM partners to identify, consolidate, and document business and functional requirements.
• Learn business functions, including the documenting of business processes, to effectively participate in technical analysis, design, construction and implementation.
• Leading medium sized projects through the full lifecycle, from creation of Feasibility Study through to project closure and benefits realisation.
• Supporting the deployment of Pricing Analytics and CPQ systems in EMEA, providing expertise on system design, data design and implementation.
• Provifding ongoing demand management and support for enhacements to pricing and commercial excellence systems in EMEA.
• Map and document IT applications and functionality; comparing functionality across current and future applications.
• Supporting digital transformation strategy across commercial sales and excellence through process harmonisation, digitisation and simplification.
• Interact directly with senior business leaders and key stakeholders to help develop visions in business process improvements or automation and proactively recommend technology improvements.
• Supporting applications in responible areas, including maintenance, configuration, enhancements and upgrades.
• Continuous enhancement and optimisation of the application portfolio in strong collaboration with key business and technical stakeholders.
• Engaging and interacting with external application and hardware vendors for both support and new application introduction.
• Strong collaboration with the Global IT teams and Application Centres of Excellence to ensure alignment to global and governance standards.
• Strives for continuous improvement of knowledge and skill sets to include new technologies relevant to approved projects or special projects as assigned.

Expected Areas of Competence

• Master or Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with business users at all levels and facilitating change.
• Experienced working as a business analyst and translating business requirements into IT solutions.
• Strong communication skills – communicates clearly and concisely both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, going beyond what is asked for and applying own critical and technical thinking.
• Possesses strong analytical skills to be able to quickly identify underlying problems and design solutions to these problems
• Team player, high degree of flexibility and responsiveness, to changing inputs in a fast-paced environment

Education/Experience Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of commercial sales, CRM and Pricing processes.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT with working experience as a business analyst.
• Strong business analyst with demonstratable skills in delivering large scale digitial transformation projects.
• Experience in reviewing complex data across disparate systems.
