IT Operations Engineer in Core Banking

What you will be doing:As an IT operational engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing operational support of production and test systems in the area of Core Banking. You will be working closely with Core Services teams (development & business processes). The responsibilities in this role include but not limited to the following:Handling and solving incidents from production and development environments (within agreed SLA)Performing planned and ad hoc processes (not yet automated) or activities (e. g. EOD processing)Finding performance / stability issues and proposing improvementsConfiguring monitoring of applications (ElasticSearch stack) based on technical and business requirementsWorking hand by hand with developers for solving bugs and major problems in the applicationsCreating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for typical actionsAutomating repetitive tasks (e. g. based on SOP)Follows standard operating procedures, system development life cycle methodology and policies. Skills you should have:You are: organised person with a good understanding of IT operations processes, with good communication skills (also in English). Desired skills and qualifications:Good understanding of IT operations in medium to large scale of environmentsDisciplined approach to IT processes always with customer in mindFamiliarity with ELK or other log analysis toolsFamiliarity with Jira or other ticketing toolsKnowledge of a scripting programming language (e. g. Python, bash) Good interpersonal and communication skills in EnglishNice to have:Experience in working in the banking / financial environmentFamiliarity with process automation tooling (e. g.
