Greenfield EHS & Facility Advisor
For our Client, an international production company, new investment project in Poland, near Gliwice, we are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety and Facilities Advisor.
Key responsibilities:
EHS:
- To provide expert knowledge and skills to generate and promote a positive culture in relation to EHS matters throughout the site.
- Deploy critical local and company policies, initiatives and improvements in EHS matters through training; motivation; meetings; committees; lead teams; delegation and planning as appropriate in order to meet legal and company mandated requirements and developing site to achieve best practice standards where possible.
- To deploy company EHS management systems throughout the site and ensure they are also in compliance with local regulations.
- To communicate regularly with EHS resources throughout company and external local organisations to ensure the location has the best information available on risks and opportunities to support the effective; safe and environmentally aware management of the business and employees and risks are reduced to an acceptable level.
- Report monthly EHS information in the Operations and EHS reporting systems as required.
- Advise management and employees at all levels on current EHS policies and how to interpret and apply them.
- Carry out the necessary EHS Site Risk Assessments and ensure they are regularly reviewed and updated where processes and risks change.
- Ensure the working environment is safe through legal and policy compliance; site inspections; site maintenance and continual improvement.
- Deploy EHS initiatives and influence change and improvements through leadership, training, communication, motivation, delegation and planning.
- Travel expectation : UK if required for training/information sharing and meeting
- Maintain contractor information ensuring compliance and dealing with renewals as necessary.
- Book annual servicing and repairs of site facilities as required
- Ensure all site waste, including general waste; recycling and hazardous waste is dealt with in the required manner.
- Purchase safety supplies when stocks reach minimum agreed levels or at the request site management.
- Working knowlege of environmental standards, rules and regulations.
- Previous experience of facilities and/or contractor management preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar level role in a light assembly/logistics or manufacturing organisation.
- Degree qualified with environmental safety health/management or equivalent
- Extensive working knowledge of safety health standards, rules, and regulations
- Working knowledge of environmental standards, rules and regulations.
- Previous experience of facilities and/or contractor management preferred.
- English - advanced
