- Work with the BFF teams that are developing on our AWS gateway, building underlying services and overseeing the integrations with third parties. This is a unique opportunity that will give the successful candidate a rare experience to design and build services and integrations that support our mobile experience and ensure they run seamlessly in Production.
responsibilities :
- As a TypeScript Engineer within the BFF/Trade Execution Team, you'll take ownership of your work from elaboration to delivery. You'll take requirements, develop and extend solutions, test them and work with our stakeholders to deliver them.
- This will include:
- Designing and coding solutions to meet these requirements
- Delivering high-quality support and assurance as the work is rolled out
- Support the TL and Senior Developer with the delivery of projects end to end, whilst learning and innovating
- Help drive the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions
- Interacting with other Developers and Architects to analyse needs and requirements
- Collaborating with other cross-function teams and their Team Leads whilst making use of the Agile development life cycle
requirements-expected :
- An experienced Developer with 3-4+ yrs coding experience, most recently in TypeScript who has worked in an AWS environment (ideally with Lambda) and possesses an excellent understanding of APIs, Gateway, and building Restful services. Developer evangelists with focus on effective practices such as pair programming, TDD, CI/CD, etc. are critical to our build and must enjoy working in fast-paced mission-focussed environments, with fast-changing priorities.
- Must have skills:
- Proven Development experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with most of these AWS components (or significant depth in a few): API Gateway, Lambda, SAM, ECS, EC2, SNS, S3, CloudFront, Dynamo DB, CloudWatch, Kinesis, SQS.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies and release management techniques
- Experience using telemetry and observability to troubleshoot production issues
