J ob summary

The Red Team Manager is responsible for design, plan and execute red teaming activities to meet the cyber security challenged. Should focus on capturing real world threats and ensure the gap between threat perception and actual impact is constantly reduced.

Main responsibilities

• Manage security assessments, with a focus on advanced Red Team operations and penetration tests. Provide both subject matter expertise and project management experience to serve as the “point person” for engagements
• Provide subject matter expertise in offensive security for cyber defenders, remediation teams and enterprise technology teams
• Build a team of hackers, defenders that blend into a squad that keeps Majorel’s platform safe and secure
• Apply applicable threat intelligence in order to mimic relevant threat actors
• Assist with scoping prospective engagements, participating in engagements from kickoff through completion, and mentoring less experienced staff
• Conduct in-depth pen tests and ethical hacking activities
• Improve Majorel’s business processes and red team methodologies. Last, but not least, you will coach co-workers to the next level
• Collaborate with our GSOC (Global Security Operations Centre) on Threat Intelligence, Detection, and Threat Hunting.
• You will lead discussions, presentations, opportunities regarding advanced security testing
• Keep on top of the constant changing knowledge of threat actors’ tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP’s) to bring realistic and meaningful solutions
• Manage external vendors engaged to support threat hunting activities
• Actively control, review implementation and trigger improvements of the security of Platforms from a threat landscape perspective.

Competencies and professional background

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Technical Skills: (knowledge, experiences, IT tools/software, languages)
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years experience in either a technical security management role or a security leadership role
• 3-5 years experience in penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability management or application security
• Understands advanced Red Team concepts including performing long term operations against complex networks while remaining undetected, advanced application exploitation, and basic programming concepts
• Solid understanding in following areas in security – Web, Network, Cloud, Mobile, Windows/Unix
• Solid understanding of most common software vulnerabilities and standard secure coding practices
• Information Security certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GWAPT or GXPN
• Thorough understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels
• Strong understanding of current threats and security tools, as well as attack methodologies
• Proven track record in running and managing cyber threat response and cyber threat management in large multinational environments
• Thorough understanding of Detection, monitoring and IOC’s
