Project Nature:
(T26) Procurement, inventory management and maintenance of computing equipment, hardware, software and services for the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of HKPF
Job Description:
(T26) - To provide technical advice on the specifications of the IT equipment and software to be purchased for Project COHERE;
- To assist to customise the user requirements with Regional Technology Crime Units (RTCU) and District Technology Crime Squads (DTCS), to conduct user acceptance test, to ensure the system compatibility and to provide solution to enhance the system;
- To handle the procurement process of new IT equipment and software;
- To conduct preparatory works for new IT equipment and software to be usable;
- To maintain the purchase record of all IT equipment and software of Project COHERE;
- To monitor the maintenance of hardware and renewal of software licence for items under Project COHERE; and
- To perform any other duties as directed by senior officers
Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3. 0 Requirements Candidate should fulfill the following requirements:-
- Familiar with the Government procurement practices and procedures. Having such work experience is an advantage;
- Having work experience in participating government IT projects, maintaining computing inventory records and maintenance schedule;
- Possessing sound knowledge on various hardware, software and server management;
- With good command of written English and communication skill;
- Able to work independently and coordinate with users and vendors for supporting procurement activities; and
- Security vetting by HKPF is required.
Technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in Data Management (DMT);
. At least 1 year's experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT);
. At least 1 year's experience in IT Planning (ITP);
. At least 1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS);
. At least 1 year's experience in Networking (NET);
. At least 1 year's experience in Network & System Management (NSM);
. At least 1 year's experience in Red Hat Advanced Server (RHS);
. At least 1 year's experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT).
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 1 year's experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD);
. At least 1 year's experience in Government tendering procedures (GTP);
. At least 1 year's experience in managing Government projects (MGP);
. At least 1 year's experience in IT procurement (PRO);
. At least 1 year's experience in tender preparation and administration (TPA).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
