Zoom is hiring a CMDB Manager who will manage/support a controlled environment around IT Configuration Items (CIs), establishing a reliable source of asset data, and providing the linkage between IT Service and Configuration Management. This controlled environment effectively captures and manages IT CI information, supports an effective CMDB and provides value-added services that improve organizational capabilities, manages risks, lower costs, and increases productivityCMDB Manager responsibilitiesManaging the day-to-day activities of the process, including establishing priorities and work assignmentsTracking compliance to policies and procedures and resolving or escalating any compliance issuesFacilitating CM auditsReviewing critical incident outage resolution results and responses and dispositions of failed changes due to issues related to the configuration management system (CMS)Facilitating communication and engaging business and IT management to encourage CM efforts and value propositionsEngaging with strategic projects to ensure configuration management can deliver the required CMS functionality within project timeframesReviewing and approving all changes to the CMS infrastructure where applicableReviewing and approving significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressedMentoring the organization of CM services, concepts, policies, and proceduresChairing the configuration control board (CCB) and enacting changes as directedProviding and approving all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. to support new or improving CMS functionalityReviewing and approving all requests for the administrator log on credentials and access rights to the CMS infrastructureReviewing and publishing configuration management reportingQUALIFICATIONSBS or equivalent and experience in Configuration Management. Strong knowledge of information technology change and configuration management best practices and methodologies. Efficient in use and support of ServiceNow CMDB (Data Models, BSM Mapping, Data Transforms). Solid knowledge of ITSM processes, especially ITIL Service Transition. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables). ITIL V3 Foundation required. ServiceNow hands on experience, especially in the auto-discovery, configuration management, CI/CMDB areas. Experience with Service Mapping is a plus.
