Founded in 2010, Blueprint Schools Network is a national nonprofit organization that promotes educational equity to improve the life outcomes for students. Blueprint is currently partnering with public school districts and charter school networks in Oakland and Pittsburg (CA), Denver Metro Area - Commerce City (CO), East Saint Louis (IL), Nashville (TN), and Washington (DC) to plan and implement math tutoring programs.
About the Blueprint Math Fellows Program
The Blueprint Math Fellows Program provides intensive, small group math tutoring to students as part of their regular school day. Our tutorial sessions address gaps in foundational mathematics knowledge and promote each student’s ability to problem solve, think critically, and access grade-level coursework. Tutorial groups are small and personalized. Each full-time tutor, known as a “Math Fellow, ” works with no more than four to eight students at a time. Tutorial sessions are highly structured, and research-based. The Math Fellows Program provides each student with an additional opportunity to understand and master math concepts every day of the school year.
As of the 2023-2024 School Year, Blueprint Math Fellows will also be AmeriCorps members and, through their year of national service, they will make additional contributions to their school and local communities as club leaders, volunteer service day organizers, and coaches. The Math Fellows Program has also become an innovative teacher pipeline. Approximately one out of every four Fellows becomes a full-time teacher, often in the schools where they served as Fellows.
