About the projectThis pivotal role is at the heart of our commitment to protecting user privacy and ensuring compliance with GDPR, e-privacy, and other privacy regulations. You will lead a dedicated team of 5 software engineers , overseeing the development and maintenance of critical privacy technologies that keep us at the forefront of data protection.
The Team owns the complete software development lifecycle of Privacy Services products, from design to deployment.
The tech stack includes but is not limited to:
• Backend services: Java, Kotlin
• User-facing components: TypeScript, ReactJS, Node. js
• Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, and many more), Docker, Kubernetes on EKS, IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation
• Code management, CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub actions, Spinnaker, Travis (self-hosted enterprise instances)

What we offer- We are responsible for the User Revenue Suite, which covers the journey from unknown user to paying subscriber.
- The main focus of our team is backend applications built for the largest newspapers in Norway and Sweden, as well as five smaller brands. Together, these services serve over 1 million subscribers today.
- The subscription part of the User Revenue Suite is very similar across our brands, which means we have a common platform for identity, monetization and payment area.
- The main goals of the suite are to provide access to premium content, manage the entire order flow, and offer self-service functionality for subscription management.
- Working in a distributed team: ~10 developers (Kotlin/Java) are based in Poland, business analytics are in Norway & Sweden together with our UX resources.
